Pat's guide to the NormaTec Arm Sleeve attachments
for the NormaTec Pulse 2.0

Arm sleeves are definitely something we hear less of in the Sports Recovery industry, as let’s face it, they are relevant to less athletes than recovery boots. But nonetheless, they are useful to many athletes including BJJ athletes, kayakers, body builders, swimmers and triathletes.

NormaTec employs a patented massage pattern that targets various parts of the body. The NormaTec PULSE 2.0 system consists of a control unit and individual accessories worn on the legs, hips, or arms (commonly known as Normatec Arm Sleeves). You can use Bluetooth to log your training and recovery courses, and you can even modify the length and pressure of your recovery training from your phone or tablet. This technology is currently used by many of the world’s top athletes, trainers, and fitness trainers. These are high accuracy that effectively mimics the arms and legs’ natural motions to remove metabolites and fluids from the limbs following vigorous workouts.

The pulsing movements help to prevent injuries and speed up recovery time. Legs and arms are the most powerful of many marathoners and endurance athletes. The accessories use compressed air to massage your limbs and help you recover faster by moving fluid from your limbs to your core.

The most intelligent and powerful recovery system has arrived. Bluetooth compatibility is included for managing your recovery sessions and data. The NormaTec Pulse 2.0 is everything you’ve come to expect from NormaTec.

Highlights of NormaTec Arm Sleeves:

Here are some of the features I love about the NormaTec compression devices including the Pulse 2.0 kit that has the arm sleeves attachments…

Sequential Pulse Technology

NormaTec Pulse Massage Technology simulates the muscle pump of the arms, significantly improving fluid movement from the limbs after a strenuous workout. This pulsing action mimics a person’s muscles’ ability to pump fluid out of their body more effectively. To “squeeze” fluid from a limb, NormaTec employs “pulsing” compression rather than “static” compression.

Design of the NormaTec Arm Sleeves

Each individual NormaTec compression sleeve is designed to cover your entire arm, from finger tips to shoulder girdle. Each of these arm compression sleeves has five distinct zones that operate by pulsing and holding air in each zone in a timed sequence. These zones include the hand, forearm, elbow, upper arm and shoulder. This promotes increased blood flow while also assisting in the reduction of soreness and speed up recovery. These zones “overlap” which is something NormTec are known for.

As with all things NormaTec the hoses are high quality and easily snap in and out. Under the hose splitter is a device to hide one of the compression routes in case you only want one appendage for some reason, which is handy if you have a injury you are trying to rehab.

One really user friendly feature I liked is that you can strap this on to your body, so that you can move around the house if need be. Yes, NormaTec have considered everything
✔️

Bluetooth connectivity

The Bluetooth-enabled app allows you to remotely operate the device and track and save your recovery data, allowing you to have a deeper knowledge of the relationships between your recovery program and performance.

Lightweight, portable + travel friendly

Because NormaTec has a built-in battery and is incredibly compact and lightweight, it is ideal for sporting activities or travel. The whole system is now also 27% lighter than it in previous models, and it’s always been light! The arm sleeves roll up nice and easily so they won’t take up much room in your stow away or carry on luggage. If you’re not bringing the boots along too this really will take up no room.

Quality fabrication

When you try and feel the product, you’ll understand why the NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, and Navy Seals endorse and utilize it. Again, when compared to its knockoffs, it has the sense of a luxury quality product rather than a non-name brand, in terms of high quality finishes, the bells and whistles and degree of performance that it provides.

Are Normatec Arm Sleeves Worth the Investment?

This will depend on how important recovery is to you, and ultimately how much money it saves you on other treatments. Add to that, your dedication to your sport. The quality of your recovery has a direct impact on the quality of your perfromance. While the NormaTec recovery system will not compensate for a poor diet or sleep deprivation, they will minimize discomfort and transport metabolic waste out of your limbs. If you use them regularly, they will undoubtedly pay for themselves in a short period, especially when you consider that the typical massage costs $70 or more. No physiotherapist can move as much fluid as this device, plus the flexibility of a portable system that you can use whenever and wherever you choose is unbeatable.

Benefits of the NormaTec Recovery Pulse 2.0 system

The advantages of NormaTec Pulse encompass increased blood flow and dynamic compression, which guarantees that fluids vacate the limbs after strenuous exercise. The system also has a distal release, which prevents backflow. Research backs up the benefits of dynamic compression. Greater capacity and range of motion for the lower limbs following exercises are among the advantages documented by research.

As NormaTec becomes more widespread, it is being employed in a wide range of applications. Sports teams use this technology, CrossFit competitors, runners, cyclists, and triathletes, among others.

NormaTec designs two different systems to meet the demands of various sorts of users. The Pulse, which is intended for individual athletes and small teams, provides improved productivity and improved recovery. Pulse Pro is a cutting-edge rehab and recovery technology that allows customers to personalize every element of their sessions. This method is appropriate for both post-op and post-injury use. The CRYORVA Active Recovery Center in Richmond, Virginia, offers NormaTec treatment.

How do NormaTec Compression Arm Sleeves work?

It operates by pulsating and holding air in each zone in a timed pattern. This improves blood flow while also reducing pain and hastening recovery. The pulsing creates dynamic compression, simulating the muscular pump in your legs and arms.

Pulsing

The unique pulsing motion more efficiently simulates the muscular pump of the legs and arms, substantially improving fluid and metabolite flow out of the limbs after a hard workout.

Gradients

One-way valves in veins and lymphatic vessels prevent fluid backflow. NormaTec Pulse Technology, on the other hand, employs hold pressures to prevent fluids from being pushed in the opposite direction.

Instead of tapering pressure off, the PULSE and PULSE PRO can now deliver full pressure in every zone.

Distal Release

Because prolonged static pressure may be harmful to the body’s natural circulatory flow, Sequential Pulse Technology releases hold pressures when they are no longer required to avoid backflow.

By releasing the hold pressure as quickly as feasible in each zone, each section of the limb receives maximum rest time without a substantial gap between compression cycles.

The NormaTec Pulse 2.0 has an excellent (oh so, almost!) 5-star rating. Look no further for the most luxurious treatment available for your legs and arms. If you value yourself for sports or have aching legs or poor circulation and want a better quality of life, the NormaTec is the best recuperation option. It has outstanding power, unrivaled session times, is incredibly lightweight and small, and is backed by the most famous brand in its class’s 2-year warranty. We have reviewed the product to the best of our knowledge to help you make a sound decision.
